Diversity is the word that best characterizes nature in the surroundings of our B&B. You continue to wonder. When you drive through the landscape with your rental car, it sometimes seems like you are back in a different country after every turn. From bare red rocks, to green hills, to deep gorges, views over azure blue lakes, through waving grain fields and to snowy peaks. You just feel like you've made a world trip in one day. We are happy to tell you about the most beautiful places in the area of our B&B. Below a number of highlights.
El Torcal de Antequera
When walking through the surrealistic landscape of El Torcal it sometimes feels like you are walking in a painting by Dalí.
Nature as art, stones eroded by erosion make this landscape very special. You walk through narrow gorges and open fields where it seems as if all towers of stones have been piled up.
National park Sierra de Las Nieves
From our guesthouse you have a beautiful view on the Sierra de Las Nieves National Park, a paradise of contrasts, with the deepest gorge of Andalusia and peaks 2000 meters high.
In the Sierra de las Nieves you will find a complex labyrinth of caves and galleries with beautiful waterfalls and springs, such as the sulfur-containing water baths of Tolox.
At approximately 20 to 30 minutes' drive from our B&B, there are a number of very beautiful walks starting at various points. Varying in difficulty and length, there is something for everyone.
The lakes of El Choro
Three azure blue lakes with beautiful pine forests on the banks. El Chorro is a peaceful area where you can swim, fish or picnic. In the summer it is a wonderful place to seek some coolness. In this area you will also find the famous Caminito del Rey, the royal path where you can walk through a deep gorge over hanging bridges and railings. This is a very popular place of interest for which you must reserve tickets well in advance. If you like to walk the Caminito del Rey, let us know, then we will try to get you tickets.
